Wright XR-2120

Derived from the air-cooled Curtiss H-1640, the XR-2120 followed the same concepts — small-diameter, 12-cylinder, two-row radial, but with air cooling. However, the small diameter led to short connecting rods with excessive angularity and other problems that prevented the engine from being a success. The XR-2120 produced 1,000 hp at 2,400 rpm.
