By gearing together two enlarged air-cooled versions of the V-770-SG, the resulting H configuration produced a 24 cylinder engine with provisions for firing a cannon through the propeller shaft. The XH-1850-2 produced 1,500 hp at 3,500 rpm. It weighed 1,735 lb (787 kg). Eight were produced.
