Received my copy of this book recently. Good sized volume with hard cover and dust cover as well, printed on nice shiny paper.

Binding is a bit weak. The Index pages have fallen out of my copy already!

Book is very well illustrated and includes lots of colour.

It has some strange aspects to it, eg the Contents Page lists all the chapters but there are no page references for any of them!!

The narrative is peculiar in that it consists of a string of incredibly long sentences, each one badly structured and badly punctuated. Makes it difficult to understand the author's message.

Roy Fedden gets a lot of coverage, a/ because of his obstruction to Alvis getting any war-time engine production and b/ due to his darstardly attempt to take over the Company after he was sacked from Bristol Ltd.! Trouble is, throughout the book, FEDDEN is spelt FEDDON! Whoops!

Worth buying? Definitely, yes. It fills a gap in the history of aero-engines and makes a good addition to a engine book collection.
