Hello my name is Mark Pilkington, an enthusiast, amateur historian and amateur restorer from Melbourne Australia.

I have a strong interest in British pre-war civil aviation and have been compiling a survey of the surviving ADC (and later versions) of the Cirrus upright air cooled 4 cylinder engine which played such a pivotal role in launching the de Havilland DH60 Moth and subsequent "Moth types" and private civilian recreational flying in the late 1920's and into the 1930's and itself caused the launch of the de Havilland Gipsy series of aircooled inline engines that are still in common use today.

I did use the AEHS Engine Locator on this site to help in compiling this list, along with the British Aircraft Preservation Council (BAPC) list of preserved UK Engines, along with my own research in Australia and then I have been publishing revisions on the Key Aero (Flypast) "Historic" Forums gaining further assistance from forum members there.

I will now also cross copy further amendments from here and there to syncronise further revisions.

I own two of the ADC Cirrus Mk I engines listed below, a fellow AEHS member in Canada owns the third, but in many cases I am not naming private collectors in this list, just the public collections and museums.
