I am hoping someone can tell me what book this page is from:

I found it on the Home Model Engine Machinist forum, but my attempts to contact the poster have been unsuccessful.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Simon

Thank you!

I haven't bought an engine book for weeks - time to right that wrong.

If anyone is interested, this figure isn't in the 5th edition.

I found a 4th edition and it is now on its way. The 4th edition isn't cheap! I am not looking forward to explaining to SWMBO why I need two copies of the same book...

Ricardo PLC sells a reprint of the 5th edition: https://estore.ricardo.com/en/the-high-speed-internal-combustion-engine---c-23-c-70-p-231

There is some information on the sleeve valve, but some sleeve-valve material was removed to make space for other topics.
