In the tech area because of the machinery used. And notice, that after the initial test run, EACH, engine was torn down and inspected then reassembled, then tested again, true quality in manufacturing. No manufacture in this day does that sort of thing.
I don't think there were many engine failures during the war.
Over haul shops after the war till now? Many
