I was searching for some Christmas gift ideas on "Rolls Royce Merlin" to give myself and came across a newly issued DVD covering the rebuild and testing of the Merlin Mk500. As this is the engine model I have I look forward to reviewing the minutiae. It appears to be sold through Amazon and Ebay.
and may be of interest to other members.

Regards,

I've been keeping my eye on this as Hannant's have been advertising it for months as forthcoming. Here it is on Amazon.

Also on Amazon, is a jigsaw puzzle of a Merlin engine. Don't think it's as big as the legendary J&J Jigsaws of about twenty years ago, (yes, I bought them all) but it's a start. (there are lots of engine jigsaw puzzles available from FlightGlobal, who I think are part of Flight International magazine, so all their cutaways may be available as a jigsaw puzzle)

I am looking forward to reviewing the DVD very much. It will be instructional for me (given the engine mk). I hope it is as good as another Merlin DVD I have, which I acquired from Ebay some yrs ago.

I research historical information using the flightglobal website. Extensive online records on the flight magazine.
